What’s in season?
Thanks to guest blogger and intern, Olivia Eliadis for her work on this blog and supporting social media posts.
We’re living in a time when you can find pretty much any fruit or vegetable at any time of year. Just a reminder that local produce will be here soon - don’t forget to sink your teeth into some of Maryland’s best this spring and summer.
In my mind, there’s no comparison between a local tomato and a grocery store tomato. The same goes for a strawberry in December and a local farm’s right-off-the-vine strawberry!
Find out what local produce will be in season near you this spring and get yourself to a farmer’s market, roadside stand, or consider joining a CSA! “The Seasonal Food Guide” does a great job tracking down local produce AND it teaches you how to use it.
Once you get that beautiful produce home, throw it into one of our favorite recipes featuring Maryland’s spring and early summer produce!
